The fashions that can be found in Carrie Bradshaw's closet are almost as much a star of the show as she is. Included among the racks you'll find retro, vintage, Gap and haute couture for and outrageous and fun mix of styles. The most fashion forward of the bunch, Carrie constantly mixes it up and adds a little special something each season by including her signature touches of huge flower pins, Fendi bags and of course, the Manolos!

Carrie's friend, Samantha Jones, is a high-powered PR executive who just happens to have a killer body! By day, she wears suits in bold colors that show off her curves. But by night, watch out! Samantha really turns it up with some extremely racy ensembles that leave very little to the imagination!

Pragmatic Miranda Hobbes has a more austere outlook on her daytime fashions. As a lawyer, she dresses in smart, tailored suits to maintain her professional image and get the job done. She's also the most laid back of the four when it comes to weekend wear, prefering jeans and sweats to frilly skirts and stilettos. She can, however, when called upon, come up with some eyecatching evening wear that keeps up with the other girls just fine. And that red hair makes her a real stand-out in the crowd.

And then there is Charlotte. Charlotte York, whose wardrobe reflects her Park Avenue lifestyle. All pastels and coordinated, with matching accessories. Her crisp, refreshing take on fashion often makes her appear prim and sometimes grim, but watch when the girls go to Atlantic City! She can haute it up with the best of them!

As the Main Man on Sex And The City, Mr. Big is a successful New York businessman who prefers his Armani suits. And he wears them very well! We don't see Big in jeans or sweats. He's not that kind of guy. We see him in Black Armani, Black limos or....a bed!

I don't know how Miranda was able to resist Steve Brady for so long! Those beautiful blue eyes behind those glasses get me every time! Jeans and a T-shirt are his attire of choice and I think we only see him in a suit a couple of times throughout the whole series. In fact, the first suit he wears, Miranda has to buy for him!

The man who eventually captures Charlotte's heart, Harry Goldenblatt, is short, bald, very hairy and somewhat of a schlupp. But he's so lovable! As an attorney, he dresses in smart, professional suits during the day. But in the morning and on his days off, he much prefers his birthday suit!

And, finally, there's Smith. Samantha's man. Jerry Jerrod. As far as I'm concerned, this man is like the English Leather man...he can wear English Leather...or nothing at all! An aspiring actor when Sam meets him, she changes his name and uses a little of her PR magic to make him into one of the most sought after dishes in New York!

Breakout Fading Explained (Part I)

Fading breakouts refers to trading against breakouts. When we believe that breakouts from support and resistance levels to be false and unsustainable we fade breakouts. Suppose you believe that the currency prices will not be able to follow through action in the direction of the breakout. You trade in the opposite direction of the breakout.

False breakouts are a bane for breakout traders but boon for breakout faders. False breakouts are also known as fakeouts. Fading breakouts tends to be more effective as a short term strategy. Fading breakout is not meant to be a long term strategy.

Support and resistance are seen as the price floor and the price ceiling respectively. Support level attracts the buyers enthusiasm for higher bids and prevents the price from falling further. The resistance level attracts the sellers enthusiasm for shorting. It prevents the price action from advancing higher.

The crowd likes to trade the breakout. The idea of trading breakouts appeals to many independent traders especially those new to currency trading. It is perfectly logical for the crowd to think that if the support level is penetrated, then the price action should move downward. The crowd is more likely to sell than to buy.

The crowd is more likely to buy than to sell when the price action breaks the resistance level from below. The opposite is true of a price break above the resistance level. The crowd usually concludes that if the resistance is broken, then the prices are more likely to advance higher in the rally.

You will find clusters of stop loss orders placed around both the support and resistance levels. These stop loss orders are placed by traders who have brought near the support level or have sold near the resistance level. Now you can also understand why there tends to be large number of entry stop orders placed just above a resistance level and also placed just below a support level.

When the currency prices crosses below the support level, long positions will be stopped out. Similarly, short positions will be stopped out when the price action breaks out above the resistance level.

Why most breakouts fail? One of the most important reasons why most breakouts fail is due to the fact that smart traders need to take the money from the novice and inexperience traders. The majority will cash out of the trading game broke. Always remember, it does not always pay to have the same mentality as the crowd.

The crowd holds the dumb money with the weak hands. Smart money belongs to the big players who have a couple of tricks to sabotage the crowd. Money has to be made from the majority. Not from the minority who got it right.

The most money is made when the crowd turns out to be wrong. When the crowd scrambles to get out of their losing positions, it causes vertical rallies or declines. Read Part II for more.

Lighting a Cigar with a Zippo

Some cigar smokers enjoy nothing more than getting out on the water, in the woods or to the campground and lighting up their favorite brand of cigar. Being outside, there are no concerns about the aroma and one is free to puff to their heart's content. Of course, lighting a cigar is a particularly intricate affair and doing it incorrectly can ruin a fine smoking session. There are several ways in which one may overcome this though some of them carry some concerns about influencing the taste of the cigar in a negative way.

Lighting a cigar with a Zippo has been a debate in the cigar aficionado community for a long time. These lighters have been around since World War 1 when they were offered to soldiers as a way of generating light without the position-betraying flare characteristic of a match. While matches may have been a liability in the trenches, many cigar smokers prefer them for lighting up in modern times, claiming that it is the best way to get a cigar burning without adding any unpleasant taste.

Butane lighters are another popular choice. When these lighters came out, they were almost universally cheap and disposable. Today, there are lighters that use butane for fuel that are of as high a quality as any fluid-filled lighter. Many of them are windproof, offering some stiff competition to fluid-filled lighters in that regard, as well. While this may be a concern when out in the elements, however, most cigar smoking is done in much less-extreme conditions and most choices in lighting devices are made according to taste more than they are according to concerns regarding their ability to function in trying conditions.

There are new butane lighters on the market which rival Zippos where wind resistance is concerned, however, and these may be a less-objectionable option for those who find the taste of lighter fluid something which they cannot tolerate. These windproof butane torches are available from higher-end tobacconists and lighter shops.

Cigars are a very personal thing. If one wishes to use their Zippo then, by all means, they should do so. While some smokers may wince at the sight, a cigar is meant to be enjoyed in a way that offers the best experience possible and, given some people's attachment to their Zippos, there is no reason that they should feel that using those lighters is out of bounds when enjoying a fine cigar.

There are a number of ways to get around in South Africa of which hiring a car would give you the most freedom to travel where and when you want.

Taking a long distance train is still a very reasonable and comfortable way to travel as well as being quite safe. However, the second and third class carriages are usually pretty packed and offer uncomfortable accommodations. With inner-city travel, it is highly recommended that tourists avoid the inner-city trains as they have become a playground for thieves and vagrants.

A few privately run trains like the Outenikwa Choo-tjoe and the Magalies Express are completely safe and a great experience. They only run in certain areas and not too regularly. They are more focused on day trip outings than on transport from one area to another.

Bus services in South Africa are mostly reliable and safe. Inter City bus and Greyhound service most major towns. It is important to stick with the well known services even if they are more expensive. Many fly by night companies have tried to offer cheap bus trips with un-roadworthy buses which resulted in horrific accidents throughout the country. The Baz bus is aimed at tourists and has stops at many hotels across the country. Tourists normally report good experiences with this service.

For short in town trips some areas like Johannesburg and Cape Town have a reasonable bus service going to most major areas. These buses can be very full early mornings and late afternoons when workers return home.

A metered taxi is another option for travel. These cars are readily available and generally safe; however they can be quite expensive.

Mini "bus or van taxis are very cheap but they are more than often overloaded. The drivers are fearless and using them is not for the faint hearted.

A pricey, but convenient option for travel is a private transfer line. These will not only pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel; they will also pick you up and take you safely home when you have enjoyed an evening out on the town.

A rental is another fabulous option for traveling in South Africa. There are many rental agencies at hotels, airports and across the country. However, it is important to again remind you that sticking with reputable companies is the best way to go. Agencies such as Hertz, Avis and Budget are all readily available and offer customers the satisfaction of knowing if any problems arise while they are on the road, they wall immediately rectify the situation with a car exchange. Whatever the case, you will seldom find a citizen that treats you with ill respect or is in any way rude.

The amount of real estate in the Caribbean island is vast- you have plenty of luxury homes to choose from. If your budget is limited you can also find plenty of lower-priced homes and sections of land to live on. Islands can have different general characteristics that make the containing land more or less expensive. Talking to a real estate agent is a good idea to cut down on time looking for your ideal real estate.

Final Thoughts

The move to the Caribbean is a great idea. You may consider going there for vacation first to see if it could be a good fit for you. If it does seem so, start making plans for the move and perhaps even pick up a book or two about the Caribbean for extra knowledge.
