Monsters Vs Aliens - The Fun Ride Begins

By Jeremy Stanford

When a meteorite from outer space hits a young California woman named Susan Murphy and causes her to grow to gigantic size, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.

She meets other monsters, like half-man, half-fish The Missing Link; an indestructible blob named B.O.B.; brilliant scientist Dr. Cockroach; and a giant grub named Insectosaurus. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger, on a desperate order from The President, the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!

It is the perfect sci-fi movie to watch with family and friends. Charming, fun and exciting is what you will find the movie to be. Though all the characters are funny and endearing, B.O.B's character is sure to catch and hold your attention. B.O.B's missions will take you to different challenges and will keep you active and on your toes throughout.

The film is visually splendid, with lots of colour, action and emotions. Susan's transformation and its effects on her and the people around will provide for enough humour and laughter and you will definitely enjoy it. The story is fast-paced and quite easy to understand, making it equally interesting to kids and adults. It is a story of friendship and self-realization. You will know how people change with time and how relationships undergo change over the years.

Most videogames based on movies don't come close to replicating the action and fun of the film. Monsters vs. Aliens: The Videogame is an exception. Many are of the opinion that the videogame outdoes the movie for fun and that it's not only good, but actually better than the movie. You can play through each of the characters and enjoy the same with your friends.

For Men Only: Get Rid of that Beer Belly and Still Drink Beer

By Dorthy Weatherbush

Men are you tired of hearing about how flat your stomach used to be and how the heaviest thing you lift now is your gut over your belt? If so, thats about to change, as I (drum roll please) am about to show you How to Get Rid of the Beer Belly without Giving Up Beer! Now let's get down to defining what a beer belly really is and determine if it is really caused by beer.

So, what is a beer belly? A beer belly is defined as a lump of fat thats taken up residence between your chest and what used to be your waist. Is it caused by beer? No. Science has proven the beer belly is fat caused by calorie build up, resulting from unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles. The abdomen is where men have their greatest deposit of fat cells so, if the body takes in a lot of calories and neglects to burn them through exercise, the body deposits that fat right in your stomach.

Okay, now that we've discussed where that belly comes from, (probably those mashed potatoes you like to eat) we can now discuss what you can do to get rid of it. You should start by working on those fat cells that are spreading across your stomach. While I have already stated that beer is not the cause, it can contribute to your rotund stomach. Alcohol can make you hungrier (remember beer and pizza with the guys on Sunday night?). But if you stopped drinkg as much, you'd probably stop eating as much which would be one step on your journey to flat abs.

Lose the beer and you can also lose that increased appetite. But this article isn't about getting rid of the beer; it's about getting rid of the belly, so I won't tell you to stop drinking. You could also exercise and burn more calories than the amount of calories you take in from drinking beer. But exercise too may sound like a lot of hard work. So for the purposes of this article, we will focus on the best beers for your belly!

The first thought that probably comes to your mind when somebody says low calorie beer is those light beers that taste terrible. This article is not going to try to convince you of those beers, because we all know that real men don't drink such girly drinks.

First on the list is a nice and dark Guiness Draught, with 125 calories and 10 carbohydrates; this is no light beer but it is low on calories and you don't have to drink tons of them to make up for a lack in taste. Second on the list is Beamish Irish Stout, with 131 calories and it's still full of flavor all while making your waist happy. Third on the list is Busch, with 133 calories and about 10 carbohydrates. So drink responsibly and get rid of that belly!

So now you have the key to getting rid of your beer belly without having to but down the bottle. So the next time your wife or girlfriend tells you to get off the couch and lose some weight, go grab yourself another cold one, pop the bottle open and tell her you're working on it now!

In What Way Have Theme Parks Changed in England in the Last 30 Years?

By Andrea Smith

British amusement parks evolved from traveling fairs created just for those who wanted to "escape" for a day or a night from regular life. Thirty years ago, theme parks began adding more extreme thrill rides, catering to those who would gladly stand in a queue for an hour for the chance to experience the cathartic thrill of hurtling down a track at 60 miles per hour in an open-topped train.

It was around this time that coasters like The Revolution (Pleasure Beach Blackpool), The Bullet (Flamingo Land),and The Avalanche (also Pleasure Beach Blackpool) were built. The Avalanche is still the UK's only bobsleigh ride.

Basically the idea was to have the latest and greatest, most extreme coaster or other thrill ride available. As the 80s progressed, amusement parks could tell that bigger and better thrill rides would attract the most visitors. There are roller coaster clubs in the UK that meet up at theme parks just to experience some of these rides and the company of other coaster enthusiasts.

The same was true through to the 90s, however this time the major parks kept bumping up against the limits of what it was possible to do in terms of loops, heights, speed,or degree of drop. The benefit was to the theme park visitor, because he or she had an abundance of choices in extreme thrill rides, most of them available within easy driving distances.

Many park areas containing the most extreme thrill rides were given a more dark, sleek, almost sinister feel to enhance the sense of foreboding and danger visitors would feel as they stood in the queue. The 90's involved a huge amount of "rebranding" and redesign of theme parks.

A major innovation of the 21st century at theme parks is the introduction of virtual queuing. For an extra fee, park visitors are loaned pagers and are notified when it is their turn in line at a major attraction. It is sometimes called a Fastpass and relieves the boredom of waiting in long queues by allowing visitors to browse or visit other attractions in the vicinity while waiting in a virtual line.

Looking For Wedding Venues In UK?

By Benjamin Smith

You are engaged! The next thing you know, you are getting married in UK in a couple of days! Imagine yourself slowly entering the hall you carefully picked among all the numerous wedding venues, your ravishing long gown sweeping against the floor, you tightly hold on to your bouquet of beautiful fresh flowers, excited to reach the altar where the man you will soon call your husband is looking at you so admirably. Isn't it beautiful? Just what every woman dream of.

And then reality hit you right between your eyes.

It surely won't be an easy task to prepare for a wedding at the same time prepare yourself for a lifelong commitment. You will most likely find yourself getting worried and tense but all these feelings are normal.

The first thing a couple has to look into in planning a wedding is the venue for exchanging their vows, which is the highlight of the event. More than the beauty of the place, what one needs to know in choosing a venue is the price and the number of people it can accommodate.

If you plan to organize a fancy wedding at a reasonable price, you might want to visit Clearwell Castle in Britain or England's St. Audries Park, Leez Priory, and Gosfield Hall. At a price of ?5000 (plus VAT), you can exclusively book one of these grand houses. Included in the package are floral ornamentation, 60-guest accommodation, three-course sit down meal with late evening buffet, welcome drinks, 30 bottles of house wine, sparkling wine for the speeches, a DJ and disco!

Glamorous weddings don't necessarily mean high-priced. If you think ?5000 is too much for your budget, you can also check out Westminster Register Office in London for a wedding that would cost you only around ?43. 50 to ?250 or the British Airways London Eye. At a price range of ?1700 to ?2000, you and your partner, along with 20 other guests get to fly in a private capsule adorned with flowers and say 'I Do' right above London!

Beyond all the glitz and glamour of your wedding party, the most essential meaning of matrimony is not how expensive your dress or venue is, but how much you value your partner to keep an enduring marriage.

Some Informations On RTG Casinos

If you haven't caught on yet, you should know that RTG casinos can be pretty fun. Just think about all the money you can make and the people you can talk to from the comfort of your own office chair. Don't rush into it though! Make sure that you read a few things about RTG casinos first. There are a lot of rules to follow, and they are there for a reason, after all, without rules there would just be chaos!

Play Mechanics

Before you begin to play, there is software to install. The RTG site that you are using will have this software and it will be readily available. So long as you actually have a computer and internet connection, this will be no problem.

Prepare to play, but only after you do these things:

*To begin your download, you will want to pick an RTG casino, and when you have done this, it's time to register. Create a new account in the lobby, and then decide how you want to deposit money into the account. There are many methods that you can use. You could use a credit card, or you could use a wire transfer. It's really up to you, and the options available will depend on what RTG you use. Finish your registration process and click OK.

*You will need to head over to the lobby to deposit your money. When you go there, there should be a 'Cashier' option. This will allow you to make your preferred deposit and you will get in on the game, which is what you've been waiting for.

It's pretty easy to get into the game. There are likely a lot of tables available, and you need only sit down at one. Whether you Video slots, progressive games, real series, whatever you want. You're sure to have a great time!

Player Etiquette

It's common for any place, whether online or off-there are going to be rules. Make sure that you follow these rules so that everyone will be much happier. But if you do not heed the rules, you will more than likely find yourself banned, which is a bad situation for anyone.

* Make sure that you stick with players of your own skill. By doing this you will ensure that everyone has a fun and challenging experience. If you wish to move up in the ranks, play some games for fun so you'll get the hang of the harder games.

* There is usually a chat function, but make sure that you use it with care. Do not abuse the chat with profanities or hate slurs. This can only lead to trouble for you later on.

*If you wish to chat or speak in forums, RTG casinos will demand that yous peak English. Please understand that this isn't a discrimination of any kind, it is simply the most common language, and it is easier if everyone speak it.

Play Limits

When you gamble, you want to make sure that you at least to t responsibly. Yes, it can be a hassle, but set limits for yourself so that you don't end up becoming addicted. When the limit is reached it's quite simple: stop gambling. Don't let it tear your life apart, and don't walk away from everything you know just because of a gambling addiction.

If you follow the rules and set your limits, then you're bound to have a great time with RTG casinos. So get to it, and enjoy!

Poker Tracker - Professional Poker Software

By Thomas Kearns

If the pros are using PokerTracker to constantly track their game as well as their opponents, don't you think you should too? PokerTracker is the best software for the job because it not only will record every online hand of poker that you play, but will sort those records in a neat database that will explain to you precisely how you are playing the game, but even better, will show you how your opponents play theirs. Here is how it works:

Detailed histories of all the hands that you play online are automatically stored on your hard drive by the poker rooms. PokerTracker will take those histories and import them into an easy-to-use database so you can compile statistics, which you can then analyze to help you play a better, more winning, hand of poker.

It will also allow you to profile your opponents and find and exploit weaknesses in their game. PokerTracker is also a great record keeping tool. It will tell you how many hands you have played, how much you won or lost, how many hours you have played, how much you are making per hour, and a number of other things. The most important aspect of the software is the statistical reporting.

You have probably wondered at some point how aggressively or passively, or how tight or loose you play. PokerTracker will give this information to you on your game and on all your opponents as well. It will tell you when you lose focus and when you begin playing too many hands, an aspect that you have probably not looked into before. You also probably are unaware of the number of times you checkraise, win at showdown, go to showdown, and a myriad of other worthwhile facets of your game that you should be paying attention to.

The software will also allow you to look at the performance of every different starting hand from AA down to 72o. You can sort these by position as well to see where you are making money and where you are losing money. Cutting out losing hands is one of the most profitable things you can do as a poker player. Without some type of tracking software there is no way to know what hands are making you money in what position and what hands are costing you money. Generally you remember your big winners and your big losers. Its the hands in between that make or break a professional poker player. Make sure that you don't have any gaping holes in your game.

Things To Consider For The Planning Of A Caravan Holiday

By Francisco Hernandez

An outdoors family camping holiday could be a good solution to alleviating the stress from work and school worries. Sometimes sharing memories and laughter around a campfire is exactly what your family needs to do.

The budget for your holiday is a major consideration you will need to look at. This will depend on how many persons are travelling, what type of accommodation you will be using, what equipment you will need, whether you will be taking a caravan or not; and the list continues.

Depending on all of these factors you can prepare beforehand with the necessary camping equipment, so you don't have problems at the campsite.

Tents are usually the choice for setting up camp and if you are thinking of using one, make sure it is large enough to be comfortable. An average person needs 30sq feet of space to have enough room and comfort.

Another important item in your list would be a suitable sleeping bag. There is a huge range of bags available to suit every shape, size and taste. Have a look at the weather forecast of the place you are visiting, this way you can have a rough idea of how warm your sleeping bag needs to be.

The next thing to consider is food. Normally when we are outside our homes, performing physical activities, our bodies consume more energy and those calories need to be replenished. A hot meal (plus plenty liquids) at the end of each day is exactly what the body needs. Before setting off, decide if you are doing your own cooking.

When cooking at a campsite its advisable to use the classic two-burner gas cooker. You can purchase this item from any camping or hardware store. Take care to notice the type of gas it uses. The cooker, plus a small pot and frying pan, will be enough to provide you with fast hot meals for the evenings.

For added comfort while you are away a caravan is the ideal choice as it provides living space at the campsite. This is important as you will want all the space possible when camping. A caravan porch awning extends your living quarters providing shade and extra room to sleep and sit under.

Given that travelling plans always create stress (somehow), the solution is to be well prepared and ready for any unexpected surprises. You will not regret spending a bit more money in buying better equipment for you camping holiday.

Top 8 Ways To Spot A Poker Bluff (Even Online!)

Spotting a poker bluff online is tricky. In offline play, you can watch body language and get physical cues as to when someone is bluffing. Usually unless they are a professional, all poker players give off signs they are bluffing through body language. Online, though, you don't have the ability to read body language, so how can you tell if someone is bluffing?

People still give off signals, even online, that they are bluffing. Some are better at covering, but others are a little loose and easy to catch. Either way, the following are 8 ways that you can spot a poker bluff online.

1. Pay attention to chatter. Some people cannot seem to hold their tongue. Some people who bluff will be chatting away. What they say may not match up to how they play and that is what you are watching for. Players may just reveal their bluff in what they say without ever realizing it.

2. A person bluffing may raise before the flop and quickly raise again. They are driving up the pot and hoping you don't have a hand you feel confident about.

3. If someone jumps into the game quickly or chooses to sits out and then changes their mind right as the cards are being dealt then they are someone to watch. They probably won't have a good hand, but are simply impatient. If they keep raising or they call quickly then chances are they are bluffing.

4. It is always smart to watch someone who goes all in with a low show on the table. This person may just be ready to call it a day and figures why not go out on a high note.

5. Get to know playing styles. The best players mix up their style, but your average player will usually follow the same general patterns. If someone starts playing odd then they should be watched. They may have a good hand, but chances are they are trying to bluff. Get to know the other players styles so you can spot when things are not quite right.

6. Watch aggressive or loose players. If you notice someone who is always playing aggressively then you never really know when to trust them because they cannot possible have an amazing hand every time.

7. Another thing about watching players - watch what is shown at the end. If someone keeps falling short then you know they like to bluff and you will keep an eye on them in the future.

8. People who play fast are a danger. Someone who is just playing fast and not putting thought into what they are doing is a loose cannon. They may not even have a clue how to play. Don't let them get you. Watch what they play and don't buy into their bluff.

These 8 ways to spot a poker bluff should help you to start being able to cut through the bluffs that are thrown your way online. After some practice and some time you should start to be able to spot online bluffs just as easily as you do during an offline game.

4 Easy Practices To Learn How To Jump Higher

By Bart Icles

Learning how to jump higher is a very important thing to athletes, amateur and professional alike. Even dancers need to learn how to jump higher than they already could. Sports like basketball, volleyball, long jumps, sprints, baseball, and a whole lot more requires an athlete to be able to jump well and, in most cases, the higher the jump, the better the performance of an athlete is. When dancing, a dancer can execute the moves better if he or she can jump higher. Because of this fact, coaches, choreographers, athletes, dancers, and other people whose professions or hobbies call for good jumping techniques should have a training designed specifically for jumping higher.

Discipline in training is a very important factor in order for anyone to be able to learn how to jump higher. The fitness regimen should also include the following:

1. If you want to learn how to jump higher, you should watch your weight and, if you are overweight, then lose weight first through proper diet and exercise. This will allow you to propel higher into the air since you are already lighter.

2. If you want to learn how to jump higher, you should be able to develop your lower limbs. The stronger your lower limb muscles are, the more you can control them, hence, the higher you can jump if you want to. Some of the exercises that you can perform in order to improve lower limb strength are calf raises, toe exercises, squats, abdominal exercises, and the like.

How To Count Cards

Card counting is a common strategy used to play and win at blackjack. If you have wanted to learn how to count cards, but have been worried it is too hard, then read on. You are about to learn simple steps to counting cards that will get you started. If you want additional information there are plenty of great resources all over the internet that teach the various methods of card counting. This should be enough, though, to get you started in card counting.

The high-low system is one of the most common methods of counting cards. It is also one of the easiest systems to understand. Before you start to learn how to count cards, you need to understand that card counting is not really about counting the actually number of cards, but rather figuring the ratio of high to low cards that remain in the deck. It may seem confusing, but just follow along and you should start to understand.

Assigning Values

In the high-low system you will assign point values to each card. Low cards include 2,3,4,5 and 6. These cards get a value of plus one. High cards are the 10,jack,queen,king and ace. These cards get a value of minus one. Neutral cards are the 7,8 and 9. They get no value assigned to them.

To begin with learning to count cards you should practice memorizing the values of each card. Go through a deck over and over reciting the card values until you are sure you have them memorized.

Keep the Running Count

Once you are feeling that you have the card values memorized you can start working with keeping a running count. This is more practice to get you ready for the actual game.

To keep a running count you start with a value of 0. As you flip over cards from your deck you will add or subtract the values. For example, if you have a king, queen, 2 and 8 you would end up with a count of minus 1.

Keeping the running count will likely take much more practice that just memorizing the values. It is essential, though, that you get keeping the running count down perfectly. You should keep practicing until it becomes like second nature and you don't hesitate anymore in figuring the count.

True Count

Once you are ready to play an actual game and count the cards during the game you will go from a running count to the true count. To do this you keep the running count and divide it by the number of cards remaining in the deck. The true count will tell you what to bet.

If the true count is positive then bet more. If it is negative then don't bet as much. This allows you to play smart and only bet when you have a good chance of winning. In the end you will likely win more than you lose. Card counting can be a great way to start improving your odds at the blackjack table and help you start to make more when you play.

The Enigmatic Career Of MMA Superstar Nick Diaz

By Ross Everett

Had things happened differently, Nick Diaz would forever be part of MMA history. Regardless of how his career transpired after February, 2007 he should have been remembered as part of one of the greatest fights ever. His PRIDE 33 matchup against Takanori Gomi should have created a legacy like the first Forrest Griffin/Stephan Bonnar bout, only it was better. It was a mixed martial arts version of Gatti/Ward or Castillo/Corrales 1. It should have been the biggest victory of Diazs career and the centerpiece of his highlight reel.

On April 10th, the Nevada Athletic Commission announced that hed failed a drug test. The Nevada Athletic Commission considers a THC level over 50 a positive result for marijuana usage. Nick Diazs THC level was an astounding 175 and that led NSAC Chairman Dr. Tony Alamo to speculate that in this situation marijuana was a performance enhancing drug. The rationale was that during the fight Diaz was feeling no pain"literally. Diaz was fined, suspended and the result of the fight against Gomi changed to a no decision.

Diaz had singlehandedly removed the luster from a classic bout. Following an action packed and very close first round Gomi took control in the second. Gomi had opened a cut on Diazs face and it was bleeding a gusher. On several occasions Gomi implored the referee to stop the fight, or at least check on the cut due to the excessive blood flow. With the ref showing no signs of stopping the fight and Diaz hanging tough, Gomi took the fight to the ground and in a matter of seconds found himself forced to tap out to a gogoplata.

While Diaz might not be a bad person, hes definitely someone who attracts trouble. Instead of learning a lesson from the experience of his positive drug test, he became a more outspoken advocate of marijuana use. While the relative risk pot smoking is debatable and beyond the purview of this article one thing is certain"fighters are prohibited from its use. Sadly, it appears that Diaz places a greater value on his recreational drug use than his legacy as a professional prizefighter. Hes gone so far as to obtain a prescription for medical marijuana in California, purportedly to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.

Ironically, Japans notoriously lax oversight of mixed martial arts makes it a perfect fit for Diaz. He doesnt have to worry about drug tests or athletic commissions who arent sympathetic to his claiming a need for medical marijuana. His workrate, conditioning and versatility as a fighter will be appreciated by the Japanese fans, and offers countless matchup opportunities for the promotion. Most significantly, perhaps, his participation with Japanese promotions DREAM or Sengoku provides Diaz the opportunity to put his missteps behind him and reassert himself as one of the sports most exciting fighters and not as a 'cautionary tale'.

4 Fun ideas for New Moon Twilight Party Favors

By Aaron Hu

One of the most anticipated movies this year will be the sequel to the Twilight Movie, New Moon. The movie is the second film adaptation of the popular Twilight Novel series. In New Moon Bella and Edward face a new test in their romance as Edward leaves Bella in an attempt to protect her from the dangers of his world. The result is that Bella goes through a dark depression that eventually drives her to her childhood friend Jacob Black. However, she is soon to find out that Jacob has a supernatural secret of his own. With this highly anticipated movie coming out this November many fans will be having themed costume parties for Halloween or simply having release parties for the night New Moon comes out. Whatever party a fan is planning a great idea is to give out Twilight party favors. These will not only be cute accents to the party planning but will also give TwiHards some great collectible items. Here are some great ideas that you can use for your own event.

With winter approaching, cold weather will definitely come and be causing chapped lips everywhere. Help out your female guests and give them a fun looking favor with Twilight lip balm. These tins of high quality lip balm come in with pictures of popular characters from Twilight and New Moon on them. If any of your friends are on team Jacob they will love the tins with the tougher looking Jacob on them. These are great because your friends can immediately use them and they can also be paired with any other favors you come up with in gift bags.

Another great item is Twilight candy jars. Since its October a natural favor to give guests at your party is candy. However it can be troublesome to make packages or bags to hold them. Why not give them favor containers that are so good that they are also favors? Like the other items I mentioned they have pictures of the actors from the Twilight and New Moon movies in character. There are even some new ones such as a shirtless Edward in Italy about to expose the vampire world. These items are sure to go so fast you will wish that you got extras.

Edible favors are a great idea to complement the range guest gifts that you will be handing out at your event. Make sure that they match either the vampire or werewolf theme. For example you can give out baked treats like Doggie Kibble trail mix or red velvet mini cupcakes. You can also give interesting items such as edible fake blood. You can also take a page from the book and Movie and try out some Italian sweets and chocolates to match up with your theme. Edible favors will help to put a "sweet" point on your festivities.

Candles are also a great idea. Give out votive candles that have moon themes or Twilight themed votive candles that have pictures from New Moon. You can also pick out some that have Tulip motifs since this is the key image on the cover of the novel version of New Moon. These are great because candles fit in with the Halloween mood and are just simply popular favors at the moment. You will end up giving guests items that they will definitely enjoy.

"Dodgeball, A True Underdog Story": Silly and very funny motion picture about a collection of misfits who must win a dodgeball competition in order to salvage their favorite gym, called Average Joe's gym from becoming part of a gym franchise called Globo gym.

The movie stars Vince Vaughn as Peter, the procrastinating and underachieving owner of Average Joe's gym and Ben Stiller as White Goodman, a super rich, super fit and arrogant president and founder of the Globo Gym franchise. Look for an unforeseen cameo role by cyclist Lance Armstrong. Entertaining situations and comical characters are in this motion picture. Enjoy!

The third suggestion is a hilarious film that is based upon an even funnier television show from the 1960's. "The Beverly Hillbillies" is adapted from the riotous television show of the same name. The Clampetts move to Beverly Hills when they become millionaires after finding oil on their Arkansas property.

Well cast with Jim Varney as Jed Clampett and Cloris Leachman as Granny. Lily Tomlin plays Miss Jane Hathaway. Diedrich Bader plays the part of Jethro Bodine and Erika Eleniak fits the role of Elly Mae Clampett. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, from the year 1993. A great adaptation, yet not anything could be more humorous than the original television series.

The Logic Behind Deer Bedding

By Ethan O. Tanner

Deer beds are oval-shaped depressions in grass leaves, soft dirt or snow and are easy to recognize. Many beds are only used once, though beds in the prime, most concealed locations probably see intermittent use. Usually, whitetails return to the same general bedding area even if they shift their actual beds around.

It is not known how long deer actually sleep or whether deer sleep at all. Deer sometimes will lay their heads back on a flank or hind leg, their eye lids will droop and total alertness will be lost. For practical purposes, this is sleep. But there are other reasons why deer lie down, other than to sleep. Cud chewing represents one basic reason why deer bed down. They also bed down to conserve energy.

Deer are herbivorous cud-chewing animals related to cattle and sheep. They need to eat large amounts of food and as rapidly as possible so that they can return to the safety of thick cover. Once in their beds, deer are able to regurgitate small packages of food, re-chew it and then swallow and digest it in a unhurried manner. Deer spend from six to seven hours a day chewing their cud, though they seldom spend more than twenty minutes consecutively in the cud-chewing process.

Deer that bed down in a snow storm will likely remain bedded, if untroubled, until the storm passes, even if the storm lasts for several days. Snow can literally bury them, yet deer remain absolutely warm. The insulating qualities of their coats prevent snow that falls on them from melting, and the covering of snow acts as additional insulation.

Deer bed down for as long as an hour and half at a time. Few systematic observations exist on the actual proportions of the day in which deer spend bedding. The more time deer have to spend going from a food source to a bedding ground will influence how long they bed. Unconcerned deer frequently bed near their food supply, such as in oak woods producing acorns, or in cornfields. Deer that are pushed seek more secluded spots and may spend more time in transit.

When preparing to lie down, deer frequently circle and often scrape with the forefoot on the selected spot. In winter, deer often try to scrape away snow to get down to leaves or grass. Weather and terrain greatly influence a deer's selection of a bedding place. During summer months, deer seek protection from extreme heat and pesky insects by lying in water. During the winter, whitetails seek shelter from cold winds in swamps and low-lying thickets. In the fall, standing cornfields provide excellent concealment for bedded whitetails.

In general whitetails prefer high ground, such as knolls and ridges, where they can be sure of detecting the approach of danger well in advance of its arrival. They also frequently bed just under the crest of a hill instead of on the top, where the wind is less steady. They rely to a great extent on sound and smell, rather than sight, to herald the approach of a hunter. Actually, they use their bedding cover as a blind to slip out of existence.

Family groups tend to have their own special places for bedding. Does, yearlings and fawns will bed within a few feet of each other. Mature bucks frequently bed in small patches of cover, little hideouts that are overlooked by many deer hunters. A big old buck can live to old age by bedding in cover that looks less than ideal.

A Novice's Guide to Carp Fishing Equipment

By Tony G. Stevenson

One of the most popular freshwater fish for anglers is the carp, which gets a lot of attention in Europe, but is still struggling to catch on in the United States. Carp fishing is a popular outdoor activity, and the large size and good fight of these fish is sure to help the growth of this sport continue. One thing every would be carper needs, however, is good fishing equipment.

There might be no piece of fishing gear more important than the rod. If you want a suitable fishing rod for carp, you will wan to find one that is at least medium action, and also at least six feet in length. For beginners, this is an ideal rod to get into this type of fresh water angling.

When you're considering fishing rods, obviously you also need to consider reels. Open faced reels should also be the only type you consider, although this is true of almost any good fishing rod. In addition, you want the reel to be large enough to hold at least 150 yards 12 pound test line.

Finding the right bait is important with any type of fish. Carp aren't picky eaters, but some bait is going to work better than others. While many bass anglers love rapalas, the best tackle for carp is actually sticky and smelly bait. There are many specialty carp baits available, so test around and see what the carp in your area like best.

If you're a beginning carp angler, you may have heard of pods. Pods are basically rod holders that many carpers use to get more than one line out there while waiting for the carp to bite. This isn't a tool that beginning anglers need to worry about, but if carping becomes an obsession, it's something to look at down the line.

Without the right fishing line, the rest is moot. For carp the absolute "lightest" fishing line you want is 12 pound test line. Heavier line isn't a bad idea, either.

While advanced fishing tackle and gear is going to cost more, the good news is that beginners can get started for pretty cheap. While fishing might not be the least expensive of hobbies, learning to carp fish is a deeply rewarding hobby that provides hours more entertainment than a movie or night out to an expensive bar.

These are the basic things you have to look at when considering carp fishing gear. If you look at every topic and make an intelligent and educated decision, you'll be enjoying pulling in the trophies in no time at all!

Information On How To Install Your Home Subwoofer

By Antonio Jesus Ojeda

Most of the home theater systems you will find, come with five small speakers called satellites. They also have large speakers, which are called as subwoofer. These serve as a bass.

The three important speaker components of home theater systems are treble or the tweeters, mid range speakers and Bass or woofers.

When combined, these provide excellent sound for your home entertainment system.

Thee speakers provide you with surround sound experience, which is similar in a movie theater and that too, without leaving the comfort of your house. You can choose from hundreds of models and brands these subwoofers are available in. Ensure that the speakers you buy should work as a team.

Try voice matching while buying the sub woofers for your home theater system. This will get you ideal voice for your home theater systems. Make sure that the speakers you buy give harmonic tone quality. In the absence of harmony, the sound will get disjointed while traveling from one speaker to another.

Voice matched speakers are important to provide the systems with harmonic voice quality, which ensure complete entertainment.

There are some buyers, who go for the brands they already have. They contact manufacturers and check whether the new series can produce the same sound that their present speakers produce.

It is better to go for powered ones when assembling the subwoofers. You will come across various DTS and Dolby Digital soundtracks that make the sound better and larger. These soundtracks are known as LFE or low frequency effect speakers.

In addition, you should also pay attention to effects like explosions or thunder, while installing the subwoofers.

If you have more space then go for power subwoofer, which has built-in amp with enough watts. Moreover, ensure that the bass is deeper if you want a larger driver.

It is better to stick to low-frequency sound waves while installing your subwoofers. These waves are mono-directional and can flexibly transfer sounds from one speaker to other speaker.

Fad Diets are the Biggest Mistake You'll Ever Make

By Thong M. Dao

Now you're wondering why fad diets are such a big trouble. If you have ever done any research, you might have seen numerous websites that guarantee weight loss overnight or in a matter of days.

Fad diets, yes, will help us lose weight. However, it's 90% water. The water you've lost needs to be replenished or you'll face serious health issues. One of them is irreversible, death.

We also have over hyped fad diets that are not crash diets which push you to the extremes. However, these do not help you lose fat. They only help you lose money.

At best, these are good nutrition plans which will help you lose weight, but which you could probably have gotten for free from your doctor. At worst, they prove too difficult to follow that you will give up after a week.

Why are fad diets so bad? Read on.

1. Diets that promise quick and easy weight loss are usually based on eating more of one food type and none of another. These do not give the benefits that you would get from a balanced diet.

Supplements are often offered. However, your body may not be able to absorb them unless you eat foods that are prohibited by these programs. Then, if you can continue your diet for long, your body will probably experience nutritional deficiencies.

2. Boring and restrictive, fad diets always are. Start a fad and you'll see. Forget about happy eating, the fact is you will not enjoy your meals. If that's not bad enough, food cravings will kick in. You will break your diet, feeling guilty and frustrated as you did not lose any weight.

3. American Heart Association, we all know it. However, fad diets do not follow their recommendations. Promoters argue that the diet is for just a short period. So tell me what happens if you do not obtain your weight loss goal in that time? You'll stop dieting and gain your weight back or you'll continue and run the risk of major health issues.

4. Many fad diets do not help you to incorporate enough servings of fruits and vegetables in your weight loss program, or give you the variety of foods that your body needs.

5. Sorry to tell you that quick weight loss programs are only quick fixes. They're not permanent. Once you have reached your goal, the only way to maintain it is to change your eating habit.

Fad diets encourage yo-yo diet-binge cycles of fast weight loss and equally fast weight gain. This is worse for your health and your self-esteem than if you stay overweight all the time.

The only way to lose weight for good is to follow a healthy and moderate diet, exercise regularly and stay away from fad diets. If you come across a fad, run as fast as you can and don't look back.
