How To Choose The Right Tattoo Designs?

By Otis Alston

Whether you are getting a tattoo for the very first time or the fifth time, you should always do your research before getting inked. Always keep in mind that the design that you choose is going to be permanently tattooed onto your body. Although you might be feeling very excited about getting a tattoo, you should still choose your designs, artist and studio carefully.

Here are a few more tips to help you make better decision before you get your tattoo done.

1. Make sure that you choose your tattoo studio carefully. A good studio should be clean and use sanitizes equipments. Are you prepared to lay there for the amount of time that it takes to get the tattoo done? Also, are you satisfied with the quality and color of the ink that the artist is going to use? Good quality ink will ensure that you tattoo doesnt fade over time. Communicate with your artist and let him/her know exactly what color you want to use. And, be sure to check that the placing of the tattoo is where you want it to be when your artist applies the stencil on.

2. Try to make yourself feel relax and focus on something else to take away attention from the pain. Keep your mind occupied with other things will make the pain more bearable. Ever seen scenes from the television show when a women is giving birth and the nurse will ask the lady to keep breathing in and out? Well, that technique will keep you relax and calm too when you are getting tattooed.

Whenever someone approach me and ask me for advice on getting a tattoo done, I will tell them to be very sure before they go ahead. Never get a tattoo if you are not 100% satisfied with the designs, not even if you are 99% satisfied!

And remember, removing a tattoo is going to much more painful and cost more than getting one, so always think twice before you get one done!
