Many golf players love to play in different courses, and they may tell you that each course provides a different experience. It is difficult to come up with a list of the best golf courses in the world, as different golfers obviously have different standards, not to mention there are far too many courses to choose from! If you ask me, I can tell you that I really like a course that is driven by a rich historical background, filled with world class facilities, surrounded by breath-taking scenery, and is rising in popularity.
Although it is difficult for all golf players to reach an agreement on the best course in the world, I still feel like to share with you two of my top favorites where you can play this wonderful game. I vote for them not just for the technical challenge they impose on golf players, but also for the extra features that adds to your golfing fun.
1. The Eagle Point Golf Club
Situated in the eastern part of North Carolina, this par-72 gold club has lots of loyal customers. With its vast area of green land, you can choose to walk as you go through different holes. The club's caddie service has received plenty of positive comments, and you also get to enjoy tennis and swimming in addition to golfing.
The club has more than 7,000 yards of golfing grounds, with a 74.5 rating and replete with 137 slopes for golf players to test their mettle. Besides, the challenge for player is enhanced by the prevailing wind from the Atlantic Ocean. The club looks traditional at the first glance, but it is filled with top rated facilities. For those who would like to further their golfing skills, the high-tech learning center was built just for that purpose. In addition to all these attractions, the golfers also get to enjoy the unbeatable nice weather year round and the great private retreat. It is no surprise that this low-profile club has always had very good business since its opening.
2. The Concession In Florida
Since its grand opening 3 years ago, this golf club has been featured in numerous popular publications such as the Golfweek. Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin are the two founders of the club, and these two are often referred to as legendary golfers.
There is some historical background to how the name of the club was derived. In 1969, Nicklaus yielded a three-foot putt, and that act of sportsmanship was all the British team (led by Jacklin) needed to tie with the Americans. Although the Americans were the final winners of the the contest, the act was forever etched in the annals of the sporting world. Many years later, the two golf legends started to develop a golf club on a 1,200-acre property which is free from other housing plans. The club is composed of 7,470 yards with 155 slopes and 77.6 rating, and is superior in its landscaping and fairway bunkers This is exactly what has made it one of the best - it is challenging and enjoyable.
